These are Fai and Mokona, from CLAMP's "Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE".
This little thing is based on the conversation Mokona and Fai have in Chapitre 43. I love those two pages. They illustrate a side of Fai that's usually only vaguely hinted at. And it's a beautiful side, isn't it?
I really wanted to see this scene in colour (because I, as I've recently discovered, am a fan of colour), and because I surely wasn't about to become that from CLAMP, I had to draw it myself.
It's such a pity I couldn't fit the exact words here, because their conversation is really beautiful ("Nobody would blame you for relaxing, Fai.") ("I'm always having fun!" "But while smiling you're thinking of something else.") ("By travelling together, maybe you can become a little bit warmer, like Sakura. Mokona thinks." "It would be nice if that was true."). But an exact replica of that scene wouldn't be very interesting.
After scanning and adding the font, I added a few shadows in Painter, so this isn't all Traditional.
Beautifully rendered. Tender and sweet and emotional. I'm not totally sure as to what is going on and I still am getting a tad bit misty. The watercolor really does give it a delicate and heartwarming feel. Great work on his eyes and their innocent, sorrowful expressions. ^^V

"I've got a food with a story for you. Soylent fucking Green. It’s got a story, a soundtrack and Charlton fucking Heston. Soylent Green is made out of people, and thank Christ for that because I bastard hate lentils."
Ah, I'm glad you like it! You leave wonderful comments. ^^
This is the same Fai as in my previous picture. ^^ And if you don't know what's going on, I should send you the relevant pages of the manga or something, because I can't bear the thought of a fellow human being never having read something that wonderful. ^_^;;
I am, unfortunately, not much of a CLAMP fan.... art's gorgeous, but their storylines usually end up making me irrationally angry.

Well, I've seen X, Miyuki-chan in Wonderland and parts of Magical Knights Rayearth and read the first two volumes of Wish.... I don't know, I really can't get into them and half the time, I think they have a rather anti-gay sentiment. Long story short, I can watch their stuff. If we keep the sound off. Gorgeous art, really... just... eek.
Otherwise, thanks! I'm intelligent.

I'm now staring at my screen in spleandor and awe, wondering how you menticulously paint such an art piece! Never have I laid eyes on eye-candy as delicious as this! This beats CG-ing by a longshot!
